She's a Stinker

We have a stinker on our hands....literally, yes but also figuratively. I mean, this girl can make some disgusting diapers but want I mainly want to touch on is the I'm-a-sassy-little-stinker-type personality that MVP has been developing. There are countless stories but I'll leave out the one about the time she hid behind the wall waiting to scare me or how she walks around the house with purse carrying mini, stuffed puppy and says "Bye" like she's going somewhere big time - but I'll leave those out and just stick with these few...

So a couple Saturday mornings ago, I spent most of the morning lounging on the couch watching my favorite cooking shows while MVP played surprisingly well by herself. At one point I had to get up to let Tuf outside to go potty. I come back to the living room to catch the second half of "America's Test Kitchen" only to find MVP had stolen my spot on the couch, the blanket that was warming my legs and the television remote. There she was posed exactly like I was just minutes earlier - she was kicked back with arms above head and when I proceeded to take a spot next to her on the couch, I looked out the corner of my eye to see what she would do and this little smirk came across her face and it just seemed to say something like "Ha ha mom, you didn't call quack, quack, seat back!" She's ornery!

A similar situation happened last night when Coach and I were plopped down for the night to watch one of our favorite shows this time of year - American Idol. Pretty soon, we notice MVP is working her way up to the couch, clutching a blanket and trying to climb up the cushions. She makes it and proceeds to squeeze her way in between Coach and I only to get under the covers, throw her hands behind her head and giggle at the singers who were auditioning before Simon, Randy and Kara. I had to get up and take a picture of this act - below is our little turd who will hopefully pick up a thing or two from some of the amazing singers who were on the show and make us millions someday!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

And last but not least - one night last week, Coach and I were again enjoying one of our fav shows, this time I think it was Extreme Home Makeover, and surprisingly we were enjoying it in peace and quiet. This is something that you unconsciously enjoy for the first few minutes but then as time goes by it dawns on you that something must be up! MVP isn't ever this quiet unless she's sleeping, got her eyes glued to American Idol or up to no good. And this situation was the latter. Below is evidence of that.

Climbing like a Monkey...she just might be one!
